Today we have decided to OPEN SOURCE and share Auror's Responsible Tech & AI framework and documents to help advance the safe and responsible use of AI in other startups, companies, and the industry.

As AI becomes increasingly integrated into products, the need for Responsible AI practices has never been more critical. It needs to be front of mind, not an afterthought. Responsible AI is about developing, deploying, and managing technology that is aligned with human values and do not perpetuate biases, discrimination, or negative societal impacts.

However, when developing our own internal processes, we struggled to find (m)any resources that were practical - there was only theory and some 50+ page international government agency documents.

So we designed our own Responsible Tech and AI Framework that was simple and helped quickly identify key issues and risks, but still enabled fast innovation. We also created it to be collaborative and to the point so anyone could pick it up and start using it - no matter what industry. We've used and refined internally over the last two years.

Our R&D approach to new tech and AI is a competitive advantage. However, instead of treating Responsible AI as a proprietary secret, we are taking a more inclusive approach to collectively advance responsible AI practices for the better. By open sourcing our framework, we aim to foster collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and ultimately ensure everyone is building products that are good for the users and the community.

Building a product and company requires responsible stewardship - where technological progress goes hand in hand with ethical considerations.

The decision to publicly share and open source its Responsible AI framework signifies our commitment to shaping the tech landscape for the betterment of our communities.

You can download for FREE our Framework (which includes Auror’s Guiding Principles for Responsible Tech & AI, the Lean Canvas, and Impact Assessment template and guide) from our website.
