Artificial Intelligence is sparking the curiosity of technologists and business leaders in New Zealand too. 

AI New Zealand, founded by Justin Flitter has hosted 5 sold out monthly AIHappyHour events with the aim of Informing and Showcasing Kiwi businesses utilising Artificial Intelligence. 

Flitter has spent the last five months meeting and interviewing many of the countries leading experts and AI practitioners. “The number of businesses utilising AI is staggering, from corporates to new start-ups, AI tech is impacting every sector in New Zealand.”

Justin Flitter is hosting an AI Showcase Event at the new Generator @GRIDAKL Innovation Precinct on November 16th.

The Showcase event features 7 Kiwi businesses sharing 10 minute quick fire talks followed by a panel discussion.

Tom Lintern is a Data Scientist at Homes.co.nz; the home of property in New Zealand. “We are applying AI and Machine Learning to better inform more than 350,000 Kiwi’s about property by providing free HomesEstimates, RentEstimates and more.”

Danny Tomsett, CEO FaceMe will share How AI can make you CXy. Danny will talk about the operational and customer-first strategies affecting business today & how a mix of AI technology and digital interfaces can finally reduce the tension between these traditionally competing goals.

Craig Wilson - CTO of Booktrack.com will showcase how they’re using Machine Learning to create more immersive reading experiences.

Centrality is building a decentralized consumer ecosystem, Blockchain’s version of WeChat. They have a coherent plan for scaling, and are building infrastructure that solves many of the pain points and performance limitations of the technology.
